Asking the big, beautiful questions

How often do you create space in your life to ask yourself the big, beautiful questions?

Questions like;

Is the path I'm on still meaningful to me?

Am I living the kind of life I want to live?

What gives me a sense of meaning and purpose?

Is there a balance in my life between Doing and Being? Or am I all Doing, no Being?

What's important to me now?

Do I feel grounded within myself, willing to explore who I am, or am I at the mercy of everybody else's expectations of me?

Am I living in alignment with my values?

Am I open, giving people my full attention?

Am I listening? Not just with my ears, but with my whole body?

There are many more beautiful questions we can ask ourselves, yet we need to create the space—a small window of time, attention, and presence—to sit with them.

Going inward through reflection helps you understand yourself better. This can be done through journaling, walks in nature, meditation, creative pursuits - anything that allows you to quieten the mind.

At first, this can feel excruciating. We are so conditioned to look for distraction that being still and quiet can feel like a huge, impossible mountain to climb.

And yet…

How satisfied are you with living a distracted life? With being unable to sit quietly without looking at your phone or checking your email every few seconds? Is this constant distraction making you happy? If you're anything like every single person I meet in a leadership program, mindfulness course or 1:1 - you're desperate to break free from this distracted state. No one truly wants to be a slave to the machine.

We don't have to do this alone. Yes, it's important to give yourself time to consider the big questions, but it's equally important to find someone who will support you in exploring these questions together, clearing a path through the noise in your head, and creating a new way of being.

Applications are now open for my next round of 1:1 coaching. If you're curious about what coaching means and what it can offer you, I invite you to book a call with me, and I can answer any questions you have.
